On the third of the week of september , our pupils have connected to peers from Bulgaria,England,Spain . 
It was a great chance for students to meet face to face . 
 In video conferences  they have talked about their schools, daily life, hobbies,interests and wishes .
 It was the first time to  practice their  foreign language and helped to encourage them  to  use the language to connect.

With the help of some pupils and staff we created some powerpoints to present at the first meeting in Turkey. These contained information about our school and education system in the UK, the school itself and a section about the town we live in and our country. We created a DVD about our school to show how our pupils learn and the facilities at the school.

We also bought several local food and drink to take with us to Turkey for our partners to taste, especially tea and cakes! :-)

Some of the questions that our pupils suggested are as follows:

Do you wear a uniform?

What is the area like where you live?

The final 20 questions that were compiled from all contributions from our partners follows. This was then given to the pupils to answer.

On the fourth week of september ,we have created a blog contains everything  related to the
  Comenius Project ‘Listen to the voice of Nature  :  

Summary,objectives,introductions,photos  and videos from mobilities ,activities..  It is a visual online platform that shows the project progress through continuous updating.

All the shares on the blog  are going to be common  works of students’ and teachers’ from four partner schools. This blog will encourage  pupils to exchange ideas on environmental issues.

Using SKYPE we talked to our new partners in Turkey, Spain and Bulgaria. This was a great opportunity for the pupils to speak with students from a different country and a great opportunity for staff to be introduced to our partners.

Turkey - Informative Seminars For Parents

During september,we actualized  some of informative seminars  .The first one organized for our teachers and school staff .In this meeting,The general information was given  to school  staff  about Comenius projects funded by European Union and meeting included the advantages of taking part in this project   e.g.  new experiences  the knowledge about culture,traditions,customs, chance to improve the language competence and  ICT skills ,getting the encouragement  to communicate and integration .

The  other  meetings  were  organized  for  students and parents .

By the help of these seminars ,the all school staff ,students and parents  were informed about the first Comenius  project of our school  and  created  awereness to the European Union projects and their advantages.

United Kingdom:  Meeting to acquaint everyone with the objectives of the project Sept 2012

The project was introduced by the UK co-ordinator to pupils and staff. The pupils were given examples of the tasks that would happen in the project and learnt which countries were involved.

There was a question and answer session about the project and then the pupils went into groups and thought of questions to ask our partners about their country and about the project themes.
